I am so busy, and I have so much going on!

I have started driving lessons. It is incredibly scary but also fun. I've had 4 hours and have another two today. eep!

Even more exciting, I am running in the USSU sabbatical elections for welfare officer! I don't think I'm going to get it - I'm up against like 7 other people - but either way it should be fun :) So nervous though, we have to do "Candidates question time" which is going to be broadcast to both bars and online, ahh!

On the annoying note, our noisy neighbours moved out....and have been replaced with more noisy neighbours. Now the people before would always apologise and turn the music down when we knocked (not that that stopped the music the next night) and left us booze to apologise. This flat, however, slammed the door in Maria's face when she politely asked them to keep it down :| I have a bad feeling about this flat.....

Writer's Block: Occupy Wall-et

How much debt do you have?

About £21,000 in student Loans and I'm -£200 in my (interest free) bank account. This makes me sad, however I am generally good with money - it doesn't look like it but I am! I always pay off my credit card straight away and have never gone over my overdraft limit. I am also making about enough to break even but it's stuck at -£200 since I started making enough to break even when I was in my overdraft :P .

ETA I just realised my little brother will be in excess of £39000 in university debt. This makes me incredibly sad for his generation :(

Writer's Block: Between a rock and a hard place

What's worse: a pit of snakes or a pit of spiders?

Spiders (even after all my CBT they are still not exactly my best friends. And snakes don't bother me at all)

London Riots.

Of course I don't condone what is going on - I think it is despicable and appalling and terrible - but maybe if we can try and understand WHY people are doing this we can stop it happening again. /my 2p

Just gonna leave these here, I have nothing else to say

Writer's Block: It’s the end of the world as we know it

If you had the option to learn the exact moment and details of your death, would you choose to know?

No way. I'd just spend the rest of my life worrying about the inevitable when I could be living.

Writer's Block: Saints and sinners

If you found a wad of cash on the ground, would you keep it? Donate it? Take it to the police?

I found £10 the other day and kept it because I am SO POOR tbh. If I found a significant amount (say, £50+) I would donate half and keep half. But I would never give it to the police, IMO if someone can manage to lose that much money they clearly don't need it ;) besides, the police aren't exactly going to be able to tell who it belongs to! I would only give it to the police if it was in a wallet or purse.

Writer's Block: Let's try this again

What movie would you like to see remade, and why? How would you change it?

The Golden Compass. Was SO disappointed in that film, didn't even try and do the book (Northern Lights) justice IMO. It was just...UGH. What would I change? I would make the evilness of the church ppl or whatever they were more apparent, for a start - they totally downplayed that in the move. The cinematography wasn't bad IIRC so that can stay. Also the ending was like wtf, they missed out LOADS (I think they were going to put it in the sequel, but ofc that didn't happen did it.)

Seriously it makes me angry just thinking about it, they were such a fantastic series of books and the film butchered it :(

DAYM now I want to go and read the books again :(

Writer's Block: Timeless tales

What were your favorite books as a child, and why?

I used to looooooooove Jacqueline Wilson books (I MET HER OMG) and the Animorphs series. I loved Goosebumps too lol. To be honest I read almost anything, but those were my favourites <3

I loved the Famous Five and the Babysitters club books too!

I remember my mum would take me and my sister to the Library every 2 weeks and we would get a few books out each. I always loved doing that!

Writer's Block: Nothing to fear but fear itself

What's your deepest, darkest fear? Have you tried to overcome it?

Well it was spiders - but I got CBT and the fear is fading =]

Writer's Block: Lassie, come home!

Have you ever had a pet that ran away? Did you eventually find her or him? If not, how long did it take you to recover?

When I was about 5, we had a cat Susu (who had kittens!! One of which we kept.) She, and the kitten became ill, so were all on medication. One night she just didn't come back :( We never found her. Because I was very young at the time, I pretty much believed that some kind, elderly man/woman had taken her in and was looking after her until she got better. I believed this for a very long time, and even though I know now it isn't true, I like to pretend that's what happened < /3

One of her kittens, Jess, ran away a few years later. He had come home one night with a nasty cut, and we had an appointment booked to take him to the vets on the coming Monday. But he disappeared over the weekend before we could take him. We found him a couple of days later but he had died, in the garage :(

My current cat, Gazza ran away just after we moved house; we were in rented accommodation at the time so weren't letting him out of the house, but one of our idiot flatmates let him escape. He was gone for a good 2 weeks - we were all heartbroken as we thought he'd tried to go back to our old house 60 miles away and gotten lost :( Then one night we heard miaowing - HE WAS BACK!!!!!! happiest night ever tbh!

Writer's Block: Time after time

If you fall in love with a book or movie, do you tend to watch/read it again and again? If so, what's your upper limit on repeats?

Yes! I don't really have an upper limit; if I get bored of something I will just not watch it/read it for a few months :)

Writer's Block: Cool places

What's your favorite city or town that you've visited? Why do you love it?

Brighton. I can't imagine ever living somewhere else; it just feels like home now. Everywhere else just seems flat...in Brighton there is always something going on, and I always feel like there is a really big ~collective consciousness~ where everyone is really like minded. It's the most open place in the world, and the least judgemental. I always feel like any twats in Brighton are not the ~indigenous~ citizens, they are students who will eventually leave.

I think if I ever had to leave Brighton for an extended period of time it would break my heart, and I would be constantly pining for it. Being by the sea is just amazing, I've wanted to live by the sea since I was a kid :)
